Australian wine marketer sponsors Canadian olympians

TORONTO--Australia's Lindemans has joined Canada'sOlympic team as a full sponsor through the 2002 Winter Gamesand the wine marketer is backing other Olympic teams in Australia, the U.K., Denmark and Ireland. In Canada, Lindemanswill start to use the Canadian Olympic logo on select winesstarting in the next few months, then in September will runseveral promotions counting down to the 2000 Olympics inSydney, Australia. Lindemans imports Canada's No. 1 Chardonnay.

"We'd like to put the focus on up-and-coming athletes, perhaps (ones) making their first appearance at the Games," saysVP of Sales David Amadia, who's working with creative shopAdsolutions Marketing, West Vancouver; there's no CanadianAOR.
