AutoTrader breaks new spot in $40 mil campaign

AutoTrader.com breaks a new TV spot Feb 5 from Doner, Southfield, Mich. The push is part of the online used-car seller's $40 million marketing spending in 2001. Roughly 40% of the budget is for national TV, which includes the NBA on Turner Sports, NCAA's college basketball tournament on CBS and NASCAR on Fox. Online gets half the budget, including a sports-tied sweepstakes on CNNSI.com. The rest is in trade print books. "Your car is waiting" is the tag.
