Car-Buying Web Site Follows Nascar, Signs on for Tour de France

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- AutoTrader.com, Atlanta, is following its partner Nascar from News Corp's Fox to the racing association's broadcast on NBC and TNT.

Nascar, which just completed the first half of its racing season on Fox, will now be carried by General Electric's NBC and AOL Time Warner's TNT.

Separately, AutoTrader.com for the second consecutive year is also an advertiser on Viacom's CBS for the network's coverage of the Tour de France cycling race.

According to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR, AutoTrader.com spent $7 million in measured media in the first quarter of 2002.
