Avenue A readies international expansion

Avenue A, the Seattle-based Net media buying and ad management company, was set to announce formally March 27 its expansion outside the U.S. Avenue A will use some money from its Feb. 29 initial public offering to make the move; it earlier disclosed interest in expanding to Europe. Avenue A stock closed March 22 at $51.75, double its $24 IPO price. Avenue A last year lost $11.9 million on revenue of $69.7 million; Gateway, Microsoft and uBid accounted for 43% of revenue.
