Avon Basics is the cosmetic marketer's newest skincare line, speciallydesigned for Filipinas. "It has been specifically customized for the Filipina skin, taking into consideration its special needs and characteristics," says Ina Quiogue, Avon marketing director.
The ad, created by Jimenez D'Arcy, features four local, brown-skinnedmodels as opposed to fair-complexioned Spanish-looking women who traditionally appear in commercials.
"We want simple, beautiful models -- those that young Filipinas can identify with. No unreachables please," says Ms. Quiogue.
