Ayer beefs interactive staff

Published on .

N.W. Ayer & Partners' new-media unit, Blue Marble Advanced Communications Group, New York, announced the hiring of four senior managers. Barbara Davies will be general manager-director of new business development; she comes from FCB/Leber Katz Partners, New York, where she was director of creative technologies. Kevin Davis will serve as director of interactive development, from interactive services manager at the Richards Group, Dallas. Judith Laughren, formerly executive account director-senior partner on the DeBeers account at Ayer, will become director of account services, and Joe Pizzimenti, formerly VP-information technology at Ayer, has been named director of advanced technology.

Blue Marble was founded by Ayer parent Adcom in January; David Yakir is president. The agency plans to operate in a glass-walled, high-tech studio on the mezzanine level of Ayer's Manhattan skyscraper, visible to those walking in the lobby below. The studio is scheduled to open next month.
