BabyCenter.com has signed on four new and significant sponsors - General Motors Corp., Unilever HPC, Pfizer and Gymboree - to its Web site
for new and expectant parents. The site, which launched last November, already has advertisers including Proctor & Gamble Co., Johnson & Johnson, SmithKline Beecham, Charles Schwab & Co. and Clorox Co. BabyCenter earlier this week announced a deal with Excite to provide infancy and pregnancy news and info Excite Lifestyle Channel. The site is co-branded, renewed weekly and includes features such as the Baby Naming Center.
