Bacardi-Martini reviews Russian account

MOSCOW--The Russian office of spirit and wine marketer Bacardi-Martini is holding a review of its $1 million creative and media accounts. Company spokesman Anton Ryapolov says so far four agencies have been invited to pitch, including McCann-Erickson Worldwide, which has done some work for the client in the past. Media is handled by Roust Co.

Those pitching will also be asked to organize below-the-line activities for the company's brands, including Bacardi, Martini and Bombay Sapphire gin.

The creative task is to adapt the image of the international brands to the reality of the Russian market. While locally produced vodka dominates the Rus-sian spirits market, the winning agency will get to handle some of the most popular imported alcohol brands in the country.
