New Bahamas drive

Published on .

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism said it is breaking a new $13 million ad campaign from Bozell Worldwide, New York, to build awareness for the "out islands." The campaign uses the names of Chevy Chase, Lauren Hutton, Candice Bergen and Sidney Poitier by showing exotic hideaway locales that they would visit. About $3.2 million will be invested in ads in 16 magazines, plus spot TV and cable. That portion breaks Nov. 4. Tagline is "The islands of the Bahamas. It just keeps getting better."
