Banner ads feature phone call button

Internet service provider Access, Memphis, Tenn., and Archer/Malmo Interactive, the interactive arm of Memphis-based ad agency Archer/Malmo, are participating in a pilot for Web-based advertising. As part of the pilot, Access banner ads designed by Archer/Malmo Interactive feature a button that initiates a phone call between the site visitor and an Access representative who can respond to the visitor's questions and requests. Westford, Mass., start-up WebDialogs developed the technology and Flycast Communications, San Francisco, is handling banner placement through its site network.
