Barnesandnoble to offer free ISP service

Published on .

Barnesandnoble.com is the latest retailer to sign up for the co-branded ISP services offered by Yahoo! through its relationship with Spinway, a provider of free ISP services. Barnesandnoble will launch its ISP program in October in its 551 retail outlets with distribution of CD-ROM registration kits. As part of the agreement, Barnesandnoble.com will be the premier bookseller featured throughout Yahoo! and a featured merchant on Yahoo! Shopping. Amazon.com, which formally held the preferred bookseller spot on Yahoo!, did not renew its contract.
