Bates promotes creative chief on B&W

Jon J. Terzis, named last October to head the Bates USA integrated creative team on client Brown & Williamson (including Lucky Strike, Kool and Capri) was promoted to exec VP-group creative director from senior VP-group creative director. Mr. Terzis, 45, joined Bates USA, New York, from Mezzina/Brown, where he was group creative director on R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.'s Camel from 1996 to 1998.
