Bayer invites German agencies to pitch

LEVERKUSEN--Bayer here has invited five Germany-based agencies to pitch for its estimated $30 million to $40 million corporate advertising business. Included were: incumbent DDB Worldwide, Duesseldorf; J. Walter Thompson Co., Frankfurt; Grey Advertising and BBDO Worldwide, both Duesseldorf; and Hamburg-based Springer & Jacoby A first round of presentations will be held at the end of January.Bayer's media buying is handled by Duesseldorf-based MediaCom.
