BBDO creative post goes to Mandelbaum

BBDO West has hired veteran West Coast creative Ken Mandelbaum, 36, to be chief creative officer for its office here, as well as for a new full-service operation planned for San Francisco. Mr. Mandelbaum, most recently partner, Copyright Pictures, San Anselmo and Santa Monica, Calif., previously headed his own shop, Mandelbaum Mooney Ashley, San Francisco. Mr. Mandelbaum will report to Ted Sann, chief creative officer, BBDO, New York. The Los Angeles office currently has about $280 million in billings. The agency's San Francisco office currently is a service office for Dodge.
