BBDO, Doner exit reviews

Published on .

BBDO Worldwide, New York, dropped out of the global $50 million review of 3Com Corp., said an agency spokesman. A representative at 3Com, based in Santa Clara, Calif., wouldn't comment on the departure of BBDO and wouldn't say if there has been a cut in its list of contenders, which include incumbent FCB Worldwide, San Francisco, and New York shops Ogilvy & Mather and Lowe Lintas & Partners World-wide. Separately, incumbent Doner, South-field, Mich., dropped out of the $18 million review of Longs Drug Stores, Walnut Creek, Calif., said a representative at the agency. Hoffman/Lewis, San Francisco, and several undisclosed shops remain in the review.
