The agency's client list includes Indonesia's Bank Central Asia, Korea's LG Electronics, Indonesian supermarket chain Hero and consumer goods companyTempo Group.
President Director of Komunika, Ricky Subrata, says the merger "combines the best of both worlds" as the local agency "has been a fast-growth agency since theday we started five years ago. BBDO will help us sustainour momentum through the current slowdown."
Teaming up provides Komunika clients with "a huge advertising resource," he explains, and BBDO clients with "a very experienced and effective team on the ground."
Commenting on the financial crisis that has severelycrippled Indonesia's economy, Chris Jaques, chairmanof BBDO Asia Pacific, says those who think Indonesia'smarket isn't worth investing in right now, "clearly aren'ttaking a long term view.
"This market will bounce back and it's still the fourth most populous nation in the world," he says. "That's a lot of consumers."
