BBH scoops $25 million win for Excite Europe

LONDON--Internet portal Excite Europe has appointed Bartle Bogle Hegarty, London, as its first pan-European agency to handle an estimated $25 million account.

BBH's brief is to build Excite as a consumer brand in regional markets, including Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the U.K., Italy and Sweden. BBH will develop campaigns with specialist branding and marketing consultancy Branded.

Excite Europe previously ran low-scale advertising in the U.K., adapting work from its U.S. agency, Lowe Lintas & Partners, through Henry Cole, London.
