BCOM3 CEO HAUPT TAKES ON ROLE OF CHAIRMAN

(May 2, 2001) -- Bcom3 Group CEO Roger Haupt, 53, added the title of chairman today as Roy J. Bostock stepped down from that post to become chairman of the company's executive committee. Observers have expected the move since the company, which is preparing for a public stock offering, passed the anniversary of the February 2000 merger of the McManus Group and Leo Group under Bcom3.

"With Bcom3 successfully entering its second year, the time is right for Roger to assume the position of chairman, along with his current role as chief executive officer," Mr. Bostock said in a statement.

Mr. Bostock , 60, began his career in 1964 at Benton & Bowles, eventually becoming president of D'Arcy MacManus Masius in 1986. After being named chairman and CEO of the agency in 1990, he led the 1996 formation of the McManus Group. -- Kate MacArthur
