Beijing marketers target children

[beijing] Chinese children aged between four and 12 are being increasingly targeted by marketers in Beijing; the total spend on the age group, which comprises 850,000 kids, was $313 million last year, according to government statistics; of this total, 41% was spent on food; 16% on clothes; 16% on entertainment; 11% on books; 9% on toys; and 7% on stationery.
