Published on .

Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions, a new unit of Bell Atlantic, Wednesday unveiled Bell Atlantic.net, a dial-up Internet access service that's available to consumers and businesses in Washington and Baltimore. Bell Atlantic will offer subscribers 30 days of free Internet access for a limited time. Pricing plans for the service include unlimited access for $17.95 a month or $4.95 a month for five hours with $1.95 for each additional hour. As part of its service, Bell Atlantic will offer Microsystem Software's Cyber Patrol, which allows parents and teachers to manage children's access. Separately, Bell Atlantic formed an alliance with the NAACP to develop and fund its Web site, which launches Wednesday.
