Published on .

Bell Atlantic begins commercial service Monday on its Dover Township, N.J., video dialtone network that provides voice, data and video services on the same network. Video information channels, including FutureVision, Graff Pay-Per-View, Playboy Entertainment Group and Rainbow Programming Holdings, will lease channels from Bell Atlantic and offer consumers video and other services such as interactive text-based information. Bell Atlantic will make its video dialtone system available to about 1,000 households per month. Eventually, it's hoping to pass through 38,000 homes and businesses in Dover Township.
