Berkeley launches entertainment network

Published on .

Berkeley Systems, a provider of screen savers and entertainment software, opened beZerk, an online entertainment network featuring games, episodic sitcoms, soap operas, brain teasers and other entertainment. "You Don't Know Jack, the netshow," based on the company's CD-ROM game, debuts this month. Advertising on the site will consist of dynamic, full-screen ads, combining audio and animation. Advertisers on "You Don't Know Jack" include 7-Up, Cuervo Gold, Elektra Records, Naya Water, New Line Cinema, Plymouth, Request/Sam Goody, Skechers and SuperCuts. Berkeley said it will offer "tool kits" to help agencies create the ads.
