OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill.-McDonald's Corp. this summer enlists the face and famous voice of Kelsey Grammer, star of NBC's "Frasier," to launch its first national breakfast campaign.

In one spot pitching breakfast Extra Value Meals for $1.99, Mr. Grammer's voice mesmerizes McDonald's customers as he speaks into the drive-through box. Another spot airing in local markets plugs two Egg McMuffins for $2.

DDB Needham Worldwide, Chicago, handles McDonald's breakfast account. A supporting TV and radio effort targeting the African-American market from Burrell Communications Group, Chicago, features poets rhapsodizing about breakfast at McDonald's.
