Bigfoot stomps into portal territory

Published on .

Bigfoot, a free e-mail provider and Web directory, is introducing a service called NeoPlanet 1.0, a Web browser with channels tailored for Internet service providers. NeoPlanet takes a common approach seen in CNET's Snap! Online and other portal services. NeoPlanet is designed with an easy interface, a channel bar and a built-in directory of Web sites. ISPs can also co-brand the service. The next version of NeoPlanet 2.0 will add e-mail, chat and instant messaging to the portal service.
