BIZ-TO-BIZ AD REVENUE CLIMBS 9.7%

[new york] Business-to-business publications' ad revenue for 1996 was up 9.7% from 1995, totaling $6.5 billion, according to Competitive Media Reporting's Rome Reports.

The category showing the largest revenue increase was business, up 636.4% due to Business Week, Forbes and Fortune being included in the category for the first time in '96, according to an American Business Press spokeswoman.

Top categories showing ad page increases are financial, up 43.7% in pages to 8,062.97; computers, up 6.6% to 97,888.72; business, up 142% to 18,304.98; radio and TV, up 4.2% to 20,045.85; advertising and marketing, up 7.1% to 16,231.66;
