Published on .

Burger King Corp., Miami, taunted archrival McDonald's Corp. today with a page ad in USA Today inviting uniformed McDonald's employees to stop in a Burger King for a free Big King, the chain's year-old rival to the Big Mac. The invitation came as McDonald's touts the Big Mac's 30th anniversary. Burger King has also promised consumers, via TV commercials from Ammirati Puris Lintas and Uniworld, both New York, a free Big King with a Big King purchase if they utter Burger King's new slogan, "It just tastes better," when they place their order, through Oct. 8.
