Burger King Corp. tomorrow will announce the launch of its long-awaited new crispier french fry, intended to rival McDonald's Corp.'s highly rated fries. The fries will be introduced via three new TV spots from BK's agency, Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York: one for the general market, one in Spanish and one targeted to African-Americans. Spots will feature Hasbro's Mr. Potato Head character in a campaign theme. BK terms this its biggest-ever new product intro. One promo activity involves a fry kitchen on wheels.
