Blair has eye on boomers

As part of Blair Corp.'s strategy to become a $1 billion company by 2010, William E. Warrin is charged with growing the business through acquisitions. In his new post as VP-corporate development at Warren, Pa.-based Blair, a catalog and direct mail marketer of apparel and home products targeted to consumers 60 and older, Mr. Warrin is looking to bring on companies that will add a younger customer base. "[O]ne element of our strategic focus is to find external opportunities to develop and market new products to baby boomers -- the fastest-growing population segment," he says.
