Bloomingdale's installs virtual shopping counters

Published on .

Bloomingdale's is expanding the ambiance of its Manhattan flagship shopping experience to its other stores nationally via eOSK interactive terminals that guide customers through merchandise selection and payment options while displaying full-motion, interactive advertising and promotions. Bloomingdale's stores in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York will get the eOSKs, each offering gift suggestions for purchasing both in-store or online. Separately, Knowledge Strategies, an Internet consultancy, said it will oversee technology development; network planning and development; content design and creation; and partner acquisition for eOSK.com, which is developing a private network of e-commerce kiosks that will be installed in both traditional retail locations and non-retail locations, such as college campuses; hotels and resorts; airports; office buildings; and sports and entertainment venues.
