Online ads for books and CDs experienced heavy growth in June, according to the July 1 NetRatings' Online Observer report. The report, which tracks activity on Web sites and banner ads, tracked 154.4 million page impressions in the book and CD ad category during the week of June 21-28, up 53% over 100.6 million impressions during the week of June 14-20. For the month of May, NetRatings reported 294.8 million impressions in the books and CD ad category. Also, for the week of June 21-28, four of the top 10 banner ads viewed were in the book and music category.
