Boston unveils interactive kiosk ad medium

Published on .

BOSTON--Boston is to install a network of interactive information kiosks across the city in a deal with outdoor media owner JCDecaux.

The kiosks will provide for residents and tourists the latest details of restau-rants, hotels and other local services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and give advertisers a new medium, says JCDecaux.

The award of the project follows JCDecaux's $1 billion contract signed in October with Simon Property Group Inc. to supply and manage ad facilities across the U.S.' largest chain of shopping malls.

The interactive kiosk scheme is the first to be awarded in a review of the all the city's street furniture contracts.
