NEW YORK--Online comparison-shopping/purchasing business has assigned its $20 million ad account to Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, New York, after an open review.

Messner will devise an integrated ad strategy for the New York-based company, including both online and offline campaigns. launched last year in response to consumer dissatisfaction with shopping for home products. It offers a wide selection of brands.

The agency, chosen for its understanding of the advantages claims to give online consumers, plans to build the e-commerce business into a "world-class brand," says Messner CEO Ron Berger.
