Brasil online launches real time information service

SAO PAULO--Brasil Online (BOL), Universo Online's new company, is launching a real time information service based on the news provided by Reuters, sports newspaper Gazeta Esportiva (Sao Paulo) and weather service Climatempo.

The site (www.bol.com.br/noticias) will allow research for stories by key words in different newspapers and sections simultaneously. Searchescan be done in 12 newspapers in the country.

About 100 news items will appear on the site each day. Climatempo offersweather information from 30 capitals in the world and 38 Brazilian airports.

BOL was launched about a month ago, offering free e-mail service and a search tool called Miner, acquired by Universo Online a few months ago.
