Brazil's Universo online introduces new service

Published on .

SAO PAULO--Universo Online is launching its own "instant communicator" called "ComVC" (Portuguese for 'with you'), software that allows message and data exchange in real time. The product is similar to competitors' ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger 3.0, Microsoft Messenger 1.0 and Starmedia Express 2.1.

A 30-second TV commercial created by DM9 DDB, Sao Paulo, features two people playing ping-pong. The game gets progressively faster, representing the speed of the new communicator. The multi-media campaign includes print ads in press and magazines and outdoor.

To use the service, consumers have to access (www.comvc.com.br).
