breaking: Getting ahead of rat race

Published on .

A young woman casts off her everyday stresses as she runs in a spot that Nike is airing in Latin America. As the woman runs, she leaves behind a demanding co-worker (her boss?), various household appliances and finally a nagging older woman (her mother?). All seem to fall out of the sky and are left strewn behind her. The 30-second commercial from Wieden & Kennedy, Portland, Ore., concludes with the advice: "Running works." Joe Pytka directed the spot. Copywriter: Jose Molla. Art director: Joe Shands.
