Nokia Corp. joins the big-spender advertiser club buying into Super Bowl XXXII with a corporate spot starring comedian Drew Carey. The commercial, created by the Richards Group, Dallas, features Mr. Carey in a loud purple shirt with his purple Nokia cellular phone, trying to outdo a tricked-up purple roadster. The spot ends with the new tagline, "Connecting people." Nokia is one of about three dozen advertisers, many of them food marketers, buying into NBC's Super Bowl bash next Sunday (see story and chart on Page 6).
