Southwest Airlines touts its new color scheme in a spot campaign breaking today in 30 markets. As the Dallas-based low-cost carrier approaches its 30th anniversary, it is replacing the recognizable brownish color the airline refers to as "desert gold" with "canyon blue" on its planes. Longtime agency GSD&M, Austin, Texas, did the campaign and redesigned the planes; the new color mix was inspired by the Grand Canyon.
