Breaking: Taking the pledge

Published on .

Major League Baseball urges fans to "Pledge your allegiance" to the Mets or Yankees. MLB's in-house ad team, working with FCB Worldwide, San Francisco, created TV, print, radio, outdoor and transit advertising less than 48 hours after a Yankee win locked up the New York competition. A :30, running regionally and nationally on Fox, spoofs the election season. The Big Apple's 4 and 7 subway lines to the respective ballparks will be saturated with the allegiance-theme advertising.
