Paramount Parks tapped Barkley Evergreen & Partners, Kansas City, Mo., for its $10 million to $15 million account. Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, resigned the account.

Josephine Chaus, New York, to Frierson, Mee & Kraft, New York, as first creative agency of record on its estimated $3 million to $5 million account. Frierson will break new creative in February for the company's spring 2000 women's clothing line.

Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark., is making its biggest foray into Europe yet with a $10.8 billion cash offer for Asda, the U.K.'s third-biggest supermarket chain. Wal-Mart said it has "admired" Asda because of its large stores, everyday low pricing policy and other attributes similar to Wal-Mart. Also at Wal-Mart: John Menzer, 48, to president-CEO, international division, from exec VP-chief financial officer. He succeeds Bob Martin, 50, who's leaving the company.

Betty Hudson to senior VP-corporate communications, iVillage, New York, from most recently a member of the global communications media practice at Spencer Stuart, an executive search company.
