DaimlerChrysler's Dodge Division, Auburn Hills, Mich., is promoting the brand's return to Nascar next year in a new area of its Web site at 4adodge.com. BBDO Worldwide, Troy, Mich., created print ads, arriving this week in enthusiast magazines, for the new online motorsports pages. BBDO also created banner ads in the estimated $1 million push. Dodge team owner Chip Ganassi will participate in the first of several live chats on the site starting Aug. 16. Organic's Bloomfield Hills office developed the new Web area. Also at BBDO: Gary Plochinski, 47, to the new post of associate creative director from senior writer on the regional Dodge dealer account. In addition, Mark Wenrick, 31, was hired as controller, from Ernst & Young, Detroit, where he was a manager. Mr. Wenrick succeeds the retiring Robert Crewe, who first joined BBDO in 1965, left in 1979 and returned in 1996 after stints at Young & Rubicam, Detroit, and Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America. . . . Eric Koivisto, a director of advertising for Microsoft Corp., Redmond, Wash., is leaving after six years at the software giant. Mr. Koivisto devised ad and marketing strategies for Microsoft's business and professional customers.
