Coca-Cola Co.'s Fresca will get major sampling support this summer via McCann-Erickson Event Marketing, St. Louis. McCann has created a "Style Squad" that will appear at venues such as concerts, city parks and special events in 25 cities, riding a three-wheeled cycle designed to resemble a Fresca six-pack.

General Mills next month joins hands with two Minor League Baseball teams in Texas to promote its cereals. Consumers buying any two General Mills products will receive a free ticket to a game featuring either the El Paso Diablos or the San Antonio Missions. A total of 16,000 tickets will be given away during the effort. Also included is product sampling at the games. U.S. Marketing & Promotions, Palo Verdes Estates, Calif., created the promotion, which is backed by a spot radio campaign created by Boone DeLeon, Houston.
