Advanced Promotion Technologies, Pompano, Fla., said Kraft General Foods has agreed to participate in Advanced's Vision Value Network, a system of electronic terminals at grocery checkout counters that sends consumers targeted promotions and advertising.

Comark Technologies, Elk Grove Village, Ill., has begun testing a new paperless electronic coupon system called Promo$ign at a Kroger supermarket in Westchester, Ohio. The shelf-based system alerts customers to coupon savings on various products, which are automatically redeemed at the checkout point. Comark hopes to expand its test to five stores later this year and eventually roll out nationwide.

Chick-fil-A, Atlanta, has opened its first Atlanta area unit inside a Kroger Co. store. Two more units are expected to open in Kroger stores in 1994. The fast-food chain already has an outlet in an Augusta, Ga., Kroger as well as units in two Arizona Smitty's Super Valu supermarkets.
