Laura Bracken isn't your usual media planner. The senior VP-media director for Saatchi & Saatchi, San Francisco, this year turned a $100 million effort for Hewlett-Packard Co.'s Enterprise Computing unit into a $40 billion addition to HP's market capitalization.

That accomplishment, combined with her 20 years of experience, has earned Ms. Bracken the Veteran award in the 1999 Best & Brightest Media Strategists Awards. She joins 11 other men and women as this year's honorees.
