Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. is expected to move $100 million in billings from Wells BDDP, New York, to Foote, Cone & Belding, New York, and Intuition Group, New York,a new unit of WPP Group. FCB will pick up Wells' Boost and Theragram assignments from BMS unit Mead Johnson as well as Vagistat. Intuition Group, formed by WPP to eliminate conflicts at J. Walter Thompson USA between BMS unit Clairol and Unilever will gain Wells' Natural Instincts and Hydrience hair coloring assignments along with JWT
's Nice' N Easy, Loving Care, Lasting Color, Ultress and Glints brands for a total of $60 million in billings. It will also handle the late 1998 launch of an unnamed Clairol haircare line and may gain the unassigned Daily Defense haircare launch. Bozell Worldwide is under consideration for Wells' European Clairol billings.
