has signed a multiyear advertising and marketing deal with credit card issuer First USA that makes First USA the exclusive credit card issuer on the broadcast.com Web site. Under the agreement, First USA will promote its Visa and MasterCards through banner ads, audio and video ads that run before and during programming, buttons and text links; the ads will also be targeted to lifestyle groups, including professional, music interests and hobbies.
Also, Broadcast.com and Forbes signed a pact under which Broadcast.com will provide live and on-demand audio and video services over the Internet for 10 Forbes conferences in 1998-99. Broadcast.com will also provide Forbes with e-commerce functionality to provide selected broadcasts on a pay-per-view basis.
