Broadcaster to sell ads via the Net

Published on .

COPENHAGEN--Danish public broadcaster Danmarks Radio has formed a special commercial unit, DR Online, to sell advertising over the Internet.

The service will apply to Danmarks Radio's commercial TV and radio stations. In addition, ads will be sold around the company's Internet-based news, current affairs and public information services.

The DR Online unit will sell and liaise with ad agencies, brokers and advertisers via the Internet. Ads and graphics can also be received and proof read and confirmed by DR Online using the system.
