Brown & Williamson marketing chief named CEO

Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. said Senior VP-Marketing Susan Ivey will become president-CEO of the tobacco marketer effective Jan. 1. B&W named Daan Delen senior VP-marketing and trade marketing, from marketing director at B&W sister company Nobleza-Piccardo in Argentina. Ms. Ivey assumes the CEO title from Brown & Williamson Chairman Nick Brookes, who will remain as non-executive chairman of B&W and London-based America Pacific regional director for B&W parent British American Tobacco. In that role he oversees B.A.T's interest in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Korea and its U.S. specialty tobacco business. Ms. Ivey joined B&W in 1981 and since then has served as director of marketing in the Far East and head of international brands in the U.K. She has headed marketing for B&W for the last two years.
