GONE BUGGY:

Published on .

The battle of the bug flicks has begun, and DreamWorks Pictures' "Antz" earned the biggest opening ever for the month of October. "Antz" crawls into theaters months ahead of "A Bug's Life," a Walt Disney Pictures flick. Both have celebs voicing lead insects, but who makes the better bug?

According to the People Pop Profiles, it's Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey of "A Bug's Life." Heavy moviegoers are gaga for the crafty thespian, endowed with intrigue, cool and stylishness to spare. His scores squish those of "Antz" lead vocal Woody Allen. An army of fire ants is more warmly regarded than the neurotic auteur, who scored a gnat-size 1 in the trust category.

As far as the female leads, "Antz's" Sharon Stone barely edges out Julia Louis-Dreyfus of "A Bug's Life." The screen vixen may not be as liked as the former "Seinfeld" co-star, but her mystique and celebrity clout make her a more interesting insect.
