A. Patrick Buchanan in July was named president of bang!zoom, the new high-tech division of Chicago-based direct response agency TargetCom. He's responsible for building the division's internal structure and expanding its client base, which now includes 3Com Corp. and Shoreline Teleworks. "A lot of the funds in clients' budgets are shifting drastically to direct response, both on- and offline," Mr. Buchanan says. "You don't have to give up branding, you can also get results. You can test several things and get responses next week."
