Millward Brown Interactive, San Francisco, today releases Voyager Profile, a service that informs marketers about users exposed to their online ads.
The service tracks more than 60 variables including age, income, location of Web access, product consumption and media usage. AdForce, AdKnowledge, DoubleClick, E! Online, Engage Technologies, and J. Walter Thompson USA have signed up to use Voyager.
NetGravity kicks off
Ad management software company NetGravity today unveils NetGravity Global Profile Service, an ad-targeting service.
NetGravity said the service will provide anonymous consumer profile data to help clients target ads more precisely.
Organic Online expands
operations to Chicago
Organic Online announces today that it's opened a Chicago office. Organic, San Francisco, opened a New York office last year. Lynn Heiberger, who was general manager of Revolv, the interactive division of Minneapolis-based Fallon McElligott, now is VP-managing director of Organic's Chicago office.
Netscape, CTW deal
boosts portal offerings
Children's Television Workshop Online and Netscape Communications Corp. have struck a distribution deal to promote co-branded content for kids and parents on Netscape's Netcenter portal. CTW Family Workshop will provide educational and entertainment content, which will be integrated into Netcenter.
Netscape today also names JamTV Corp. and flagship site Rolling Stone Network (www.
rollingstone.com) to anchor Netcenter Music Channel. JamTV runs the network with Rolling Stone publisher Wenner Media.
Yahoo! to buy Yoyodyne in stock swap
Internet portal Yahoo!, Santa Clara, Calif., said it would buy online promotions company Yoyodyne Entertainment, Irvington, N.Y. It agreed to exchange shares of Yahoo! stock valued at $29.6 million for Yoyodyne, which conducts online sweepstakes to help drive traffic to its clients' sites. Yahoo! will use Yoyodyne's promotions to help merchants and advertisers.
